HOW IT WORKS:
When placing the order you will be asked to fill out a short information form with details such as photo to be illustrated and any other relevant information..
After placing the order you will be contacted within 48 hours to review the details of your order.
Pencil sketch: after talking over your order in detail, a preliminary pencil sketch will be sent to you for your approval. Generally the pencil sketch will be sent within three weeks from your order date. The pencil sketch will show a rough outline of the illustration and it’s composition, after your approval of the sketch it will be outlined, colored and worked in more detail. Pencil sketch usually won’t show small details such as fabric texture, prints, etc.
You will be allowed up to three pencil sketch revisions. Keep in mind if revisions are needed, the processing time to finish the illustration might be affected.
After the pencil sketch approval the artist will continue to work on the illustration in detail and in colour. From that point it will take approximately another two weeks for the illustration to be finished (with the total processing time from order date to ship date taking up to five full weeks).
Once the illustration is finished, a high quality jpeg file will be sent to you. If requested, I will do my best to accommodate any workable changes you might ask for, however please understand that at this stage very minimal changes will be possible. If requested changes deemed not workable, a quote will be issued for a re-draw of the final art. Please keep in mind that I will not sacrifice my signature style in any capacity for which my artwork is recognized for.
After the illustration is complete you will receive a digital jpeg copy of the illustration in your email and the actual illustration will be shipped to you in the mail.
SHIPPING TIME: all illustrations are shipped from the United Kingdom. The general shipping times within the UK are 48 hours, to Europe 5-8 business days, to Americas 6-10 business days, and to Australia and Asia 6-12 business days. Please note that the artist is not responsible for any postal delays or issues.
STANDARD PROCESSING TIME
General processing/ making time for each custom illustration is five full weeks.
Processing times are based upon the estimated time it takes to complete the illustration and the artist's schedule capacity as well as availability.
Processing does not include the shipping time.
RUSH ORDER PROCESSING TIME
In case you need an illustration done sooner than in five weeks, please contact the artist at orders@velvetmirage.com.
Please keep in mind that rushed orders will take two full weeks to produce, and will only be possible if the artist’s schedule allows it.
There will be an extra charge for a rush order, which will depend on the type and size of the illustration you choose.
ARTIST DISCLAIMER
The artist always retains digital rights to all artworks created by her. The digital file of any client's custom art is NOT to be used by the client or others for duplication, reproduction printing, or to be altered or re-sold without written consent from the artist. If duplication/printing is requested, the artist will provide the client with a quote and contract to purchase reproduction rights if they so wish. The artist will never use or re-sell a client's digital art file for profit.
You will receive an original hand drawn personalized illustration in your mail, as well as a high quality JPEG file in your email.
